WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
Some people call me a perfectionist, and a fool because perfection cannot be attained… they’re wrong about one thing… I’m NOT a perfectionist, I just push further than everyone else as I strive for excellence. 💯
I often spend more time on projects than I should, and it’s usually beyond what I’m being paid for… it’s even beyond what the client often expects from me… so why do I work harder and for longer when it’s unnecessary? 💪
I can’t help it firstly as it’s innate… I can’t resist making my work better… like recently, I missed a deadline because I saw a way to improve the excellent work I’d finished, so instead of presenting the draft, I deleted 6000 words and made it exceptional. Some might say that’s crazy given the client wouldn’t have known and the original work was already excellent, but I owe each client my BEST EFFORT!
Wanting to be the best, is another reason I go beyond what I’m expected to do. Writing copy, for the sake of it, or handing over work to meet deadlines or earn faster money is the OPPOSITE of who I want to be. It’s important my work stands out… I’ve improved beyond recognition these past few years, but without pushing myself hard, constantly learning to make my copy better, then I would have stayed at the same level like most people do… which is NOT enough. 🥇
My clients are the first to notice my high standards and comments like “It feels so much better than what I’ve used before” are common, and my sales letters, emails, and web copy, have already earned over $40m for my clients.
